The contents, written from Sandringham by Francis Knollys, Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales (later George V), with content relating to the invention of postage stamps and the penny postage: "I am desired by the Prince of Wales to thank you for your communication and for a copy of the "Life of Sir Rowland Hill" and the "History of Penny Postage“.
