Crown over A, block of four, pos. 4/34-35, 40-41, used on piece, exhibiting both Rusted Cliche's, good colour, some minor damage to stamps. Unique as used and in private hands, one of only three with the same flaws, with the others being in the RTP Chapman Collection and the Royal Collection. BW 71(2) j, k, l, & m = $ 25'000. Note: This block shows 4/34 with extensive white flaws in right frame and right Wattle spray, as well as behind the King's neck and front of emu's breast. 4/35 extensive white flaws over an area of about 4 mm. wide from the level of the fifth Wattle bloom to the Roo's hip. 4/40 Thin 'G' of POSTAGE. 4/41 Dot close to the leg of 'Y' of PENNY. Additionally, comes with another cover franked with 1918 1 d. carmine, Die I, Substituted Cliché, pos. 4/35, used in combination with 1918 1 d. carmine red tied to an advertising envelope from Hawthorn VIC to Sandringham VIC, has opening tear top into side of stamp, otherwise a scarce use.
