1558 image1909/1977: Group of over 160 covers with a number of remarkable specialities included. Firstly there is an invitation to celebrate the Kaiser's Birthday in 1909 at the German Club in Bangkok, participants are requested to dress patriotically. The card is embossed by the club and gives an amazing insight into the prevailing Zeitgeist. A further hugely insightful card sent be the German Consulate in 1913, notifies the recipient in Germany that an enquiry into a missing parcel has been unsuccessful and a further parcel has enquiries still ongoing. Evidence that the consular service provided support even in postal matters. (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

1382 image1859/1910: Fine collection from early issues with eleven copies of the popular 1859 Montevideo "Sun" issue, mostly in very fine condition with signatures Diena and other experts. The 1864 issue is also well represented, the 15c overprint from 1866 is present bearing a double overprint. The surprisingly difficult to find later issues from 1866 are well represented with good shades and a range of postmarks. The 1910 Centenary of independence can be documented with a single strike die proof on medium thick paper. A pleasing collection for the specialist.
