1842 (Nov 10): Ladies Envelope with an appealing floral design on obverse and reverse
including a woman playing piano, struck with double line "ROMA AFFRANCATA" handstamp in red on front and "11 NOVEMBRE" arrival datestamp in black on reverse. The full letter content is still included, dated "Roma 10 9bre 1842", the letter was prepaid

1848 (July 13): Entire letter from Camerino to Tolentino, the interior with a most
decorative handpainted letterhead during the period of the Repubblica Romana. The letterhead shows an obviously famous but unidentified person to whom a boot is to be put on by a military, while other people try to prevent this, also one person in a
rowboat with an Italian tricolore. Aside this sketch is written: "chi la dura la vince / chi perde va a gambe in aria". A funny item. (Image 1) (Image 2)

enormous margins incl. parts of the upper two neighbouring stamps, the left stamp with all eight filetti, the right stamp with seven filetti, tied by grill obliterator to entire letter to Narni. Obverse and reverse with Narni cds's (March 28, 1860).

1864: ½ baj. 'violetto grigiastro', a fresh and fine horizontal strip of four from the top
left sheet corner, the leftmost stamp with 8 filetti, the three other stamp with 7 filetti, tied by three strikes of circular TOSCANELLA handstamp, an information strike alongside, on entire letter to Viterbo, despatched on February 10, 1862. This
letter had already made the same journey on February 7, franked with a 2 baj. 'bianco verdastro' which is now hidden below the multiple and from Viterbo back on February 8 with the same franking (Sassone 3Aa) on the inner side of the letter. An

difettosa', a fine example with large margins in combination with 4 baj. giallo vivo (touched at right), tied by two oily strikes of grill of Rome, on envelope to Breslau, Prussia. Obverse struck with "ROMA 27 MAR 67" despatch cds and framed PD, both
in black, French "É-PONT. MARSEILLE 31 MARS 67" entry cds in red and Prussian "AUS FRANKREICH PER AACHEN 31 / 3" entry cds in blue. Reverse with distribution cds (April 1). Cover opened on three sides and torn at right when opened but stabilized.
