1584 image1860 (March 23): Prepaid Entire letter from Cefalonia to Lefkada / Santa Maura bearing 1859 (June) ½ d. orange and 1 d. blue, both with three large to full margins and just touched on the fourth, tied with the typical black pen cross of Cefalonia. Hooded KEFFALENIA scroll datestamp in blue alongside, reverse with hooded "Sta MAURA" arrival datestamp in blue (March 28, 1860) alongside. ½ d. adhesive oxidised and a vertical fold, nevertheless a rare combination franking. Cert. Simmermacher (1979) Gi = £ 1'050 off cover.rnNote: The 1 d. stamp paid the one-ounce rate, and the Half-Penny stamp paid for travel on the faster and more reliable Austrian Lloyd line.
