1938 Liberia CRASH MAIL: Cover from Monrovia to Hamburg, Germany carried by Air France F-AQBB from Morocco. The airplane crashed on a mountain summit of the Pyrenees near Cinq Croix and the pilot, the crew and four passengers died. The damaged mail was rescued, getting a h/s "Correspondance Avion/retardée ... survenu le 23. Mars" and closed officially. The cover bears a 1937 air 6c tied "MONROVIA/19 MARS 38", further adhesives were lost. The envelope with two archive holes at bottom.

1929 Mexico air mail, eagle 25 C., issued perforated color trial proof blue/green (Sanabria #10) with actual first 1928 stamp 25 C. brownish carmine/brown and 5 C. tied "MEXICO, D.F. 12.JUL.29" to registered cover to New York. Violet hs. "EMILIO CARRANZA", in memory of the late mexican pilot. - Nine different combinations of colour proofs were produced and on counter sale at Mexico City p.o. May 3 1929 at the occasion of the Tejeria-Tapachula inaugural flight. 225 copies in all sold. Some were used up later on covers. A copy of the 2nd 1928 issued 25 C. included for reference.
