Bears a host of fwd. paper slips, the first one w. note "consulates gates closed", fwd. multiple times including to Inchon/Korea w. March 27 transit and between Nagasaki and Yokohama. As the number of free fwd. probably exceeded, at Nagasaki marked circular "T" and Japan 1883 1 S. resp. 1888 4 S. applied to reverse with postage due mark, the paper slips after that w. vertical style vermilion "attention postage due". Finally delivered April 25 at Yokohama. Amazing.
