120 c imageItaly incoming mail, folded letter sent from Constantinople by French Paquebot to Camogli near Genova, showing French square seal "AFFRANCHISSEMENT INSUFFISANT". The under-franking postage of 50ct, composed by 10ct ochre and 40ct orange, was killed by diamond dots with anchor coupled to octagonal mark "CONSTANTINOPLE PAQ. FR. U N 1" dated 22/1/1868. Erroneous taxed for 12 decimes was corrected to 4 corresponding at the difference between unfranked letter rate and payment made. INTERESTING. (Image1)
