237 image1852-1908 collection in a stock book with some U but with the emphasis very much focused on M issues with plenty of scarce items, mostly in unusually good condition for this period. We note the 1852 3d Beaver (4 margins, lightly creased), the 1858 3d (very rare, expertisation mark, regummed), 1859 10c pale brown, two shades of the 12½c and 1864 2c. A small group of 'Large Heads' incl. two each of 1868 3c and 12½c, 'Small Heads' with 1c to 5c (+ shades), 6c & 10c, 1882 ½c in corner marginal block of ten and 1889 issues to 10c. Also 1893 20c & 50c, the 1897, 1898 & 1903 sets, a fine group of the 1897 Jubilees ½c to $3 (+ $4, short perf and a trifle faded), 1908 Quebec and 1875 Registration to 8c. A very fine collection of enormous catalogue value. (Image)

238 image1852-1993 U collection in a spring back album with useful earlier issues incl. 1852 3d Beaver (2, each with four margins) and ½d rose (just four margins), 1859 to 17c (+ 5c on cover), ranges of 23 'Large Heads' to 15c (6) and 85 'Small Heads' to 10c (13) with excellent potential for sorting, plus the 1897, 1898 & 1903 sets. The 1897 Jubilee set to $3 (the $2 & $3 with 'roller' cancels) and a fine example of the $5 (part violet c.d.s), KGV incl. 1915 War Tax, coils, 1928 & 1930 sets to $1 etc, KGVI sets to $1 and the QEII issues. Special Delivery and Dues also, plus 1875 Registration stamps incl. the 8c blue and two stock books of M QEII issues to 1993. A good, substantial collection. (Image)

242 image1928-50 AIRMAIL FIRST FLIGHT COVERS - accumulation of 113 philatelic covers that commemorate the inaugural figures of air routes within Canada or to the USA incl. a few sent internationally to UK, Bahamas, Hong Kong, India & Tanganyika, virtually all bear special cancellations, cachets or h/stamps to mark the historic event, incl. a wide range of frankings from the period, noted - many with 6c air stamps, incl. scarcer or more common routes. 247 image1881 mourning cover to England with a pair of 3 overprints on 3d, the 3 on the left stamp has been badly damaged. The stamps have been cancelled with a barred 329 canceller and an indistinct town cancel. Cape Town OC.18.81 transit and Market Rasen NOV.8.81 arrival cancels are on the back. A very unusual pair of overprinted stamps. Also an 1880 cover to London with a pair of 3 on 3d cancelled by numeral 29 of East London. (2) (Image)
