Hansen's merits in identifying leprosy bacterium back in 1873 were finally fully acknowledged. Very rare, less than twelve entires are stated to be known.

An amazing document both for the Italian Risorgimento as for the EXPO history.

OLYMPIADE 1940, sehr schöner und seltener Schmuckumschlag zu den in Helsinki für den 20.7.-4.8. 1940 geplanten Olympischen Sommerspielen 1940, die
aufgrund des sowjetischen Überfalls auf Finnland im November 1939 abgesagt werden mußten, frankiert mit Finnland, 300 Jahre Post, 2 und 3 1/2 Markka. Interessanterweise wurde der Auslandsbrief nach Weimar am 4.9.1939 in Viipuri aufgegeben, das einige
Monate später besetzt wurde und nach 1940 als Wyborg zur Sowjetrepublik Karelien gehörte. Rs. vier weitere Abbildungen von Bauten in Helsinki.

1952, OLYMPISCHE SPIELE IN OSLO UND HELSINKI, das offizielle Erinnerungsbuch des Nationalen Olympischen Komitees im Schuber mit blauer Krokolederimitation
und silbernen Olympiaringen, noch in der ursprünglichen Versanpackung der "Olympia-Werbung Saarland". Dazu der Sondersatz zur Olympiade, Saarland jeweils im Paar (die 15 + 5 Fr. mit Oberrand - Reihenzählerfelder vierseitig gezähnt) auf Brief aus
Mettlach an das Olympische Komitee des Saarlands in Helsinki. Dieses war bei Ankunft des Briefes schon abgereist, und der Brief mit entsprechenden Vermerken und einem finnischen Aufkleber "Parti" nach Mettlach zurückgeschickt. Laut Fotobefund
Hoffmann (1989) ein seltener Beleg.

nebengesetzt blauer Rahmenstempel "BERLIN / POST-EXP. 7 / 26 7 66", außerdem handschriftlicher Vermerk "Portofrei für ausgerückte Truppen" (Umschlag wurde unten grob geöffnet - unauffällig, weil etwas korrigiert). Sehr seltener und attraktiver Beleg
auch für den preußisch-österreichischen Krieg!
