203 1911 (Sep 9) Green London to Windsor postcard addressed to Italy with two KGV ½d stamps tied by the London Aerial Post c.d.s, Cernorbio arrival datestamp (Sep 16), the reverse signed by Charles Hubert. Light blue cross through address and minor staining on reverse but a scarce pilot signed card. Hubert crashed and broke both legs when taking off at Hendon on Sept. 11th; as a result very few 1911 cards were signed by him.

213 1911 (Sep 9) Brown London to Windsor postcard franked KGV ½d and bearing a label for W.S Lincoln (contrary to P.O regulations) both tied by the London Aerial Post c.d.s code 4, addressed to Mr W.S Lincoln, the oldest established stamp dealer in the world, in London. The reverse with violet cachet of "D.H EVANS & Co" (where the card was bought and probably posted) and W.S Lincoln handstamp, unusual.

217 1911 (Sep 18) Postcards from London to the same addressee in Hertford, one from Lloyds Bank acknowledging a letter regarding the Aerial Post which has been forwarded to the promoters to be dealt with, the other card from the Aerial Post Office apologising for the delay in sending the Aerial Post letters which should arrive within a few hours. An unusual pair. (2).

218 imageBradford. 1904 Picture postcard sent locally within Bradford, a KEVII ½d cancelled by "107" numeral in black with red oval "B.D." Advance Posting handstamp alongside. A very unusual combination of handstamps, only recorded from Bradford in 1904 (with some mail receiving the "107" in black and oval handstamp in red, some with both handstamps in red, others cancelled by the red oval "B.D." handstamp without the 107 numeral applied). Superb quality and very scarce, only 3914 items posted, the only year the scheme operated in Bradford. Photo on Page 30. (Image1)
