1053 1927-28 Transatlantic flights by Kohl and von Hunefeld, registered cover franked 25m and postcard franked 12m, intended for the Dessau to New York flight in "Bremen", both returned with cachets after the flight was abandoned, and three postcards of the pilots and plane; 1928 postcards of Kohl, von Hunefeld and the Irishman Major Fitzmaurice who flew from Bremen to New York (2), and two U.S cards commemorating this flight, one flown on the special Milwaukee to Chicago flight. 1054 Catapult Mail. 1929-39 Covers and cards from Germany (12, six posted at sea) or Saar to USA, or USA to Germany (4) despatched by catapult flight from the "Bremen" (11) or "Europa" (6) with cachets, also four covers posted on or endorsed by these two ships, and two cards of catapult planes (one posted on the 1930 Graf Zeppelin to England), the Saar card stained, otherwise mainly fine.
