726 1890 Die Proof of the QV "Postage-Postage" head in green on thick card, initialled "J.P" by the engraver J. Peacock, 82x113mm. Also die proofs in green (2), black or purple on white glazed paper, these four probably reprints. This head was used for stamps of St. Helena, Seychelles, British Honduras, Turks Islands and Gambia. 737 1937-38 Covers and cards all bearing the first Dhow issue, including April 1 1937 First Day Covers (2) bearing ½a - 1a + India 3p or ½a - 3½a to Ronaldsway, Isle of Man, delivered by West Coast Air Services Ltd; Mukalla datestamps on cover to Aden franked 1a (Sultan of Mukalla crest on flap) or cover to Germany franked 3½a redirected back to Aden; uprated postal stationery postcards (3, one registered, one on India postcard), envelopes (2) or registration envelope; Imperial Airways test letter to London; cover and postcard to Uganda; cover to Malta; cover franked 1a with Bombay "PAQUEBOT" handstamp, etc. An interesting collection, mainly commercial mail, this first Aden set in use for 21 months until replaced by the 1939 pictorial issue.
