1892 4½d Handpainted essay in grey-violet, green, pale green and Chinese white on tracing paper, lettered "G" and dated "FEB 1/92", the stamp size essay cancelled by a pen cross, 58x82mm. Ten essays were
produced by De la Rue for the new 4½d value, one set on card, a second set on tracing paper. This set on tracing paper, retained by De la Rue, were pen cancelled with a cross. A superb and unique essay from the De la Rue archives; three of
