Lot 699 - 1979 55c Train Original Hand Painted Artwork as submitted by the designer, Mr Ray Honisett, to the Post Office. Painted on board, 207x126mm, showing denomination as 20c and slightly different view to issued stamp. This original artwork with an imperf colour photo proof is very scarce and rarely offered. (An earlier 1964 2/6d Robin watercolour realised $2,500 in a Melbourne auction.)....Estimate AU$1,200 Sold for AU$ 1,600
