1860-63 ISSUE IN MINT MARGINAL BLOCKS & ON COVER: Stock sheets with an accumulation of stamps (48), mainly in marginal blocks with inscriptions or part inscriptions, and covers (3) inc. 1c black block of 4 and block of 12 (both MNH); 2c purple in two blocks of 4 (1 MH, 1 MNH); 5c blue (2 MH, 1 no gum, 2 used); 8½c green in 2 blocks of 4 (MH); 10c in block of 4 (MH); 12½c in block of 4 (thick cracked gum) and LL strip of 3 (MH); plus two 5c blue used on envs. (1864 or 1865 to Quebec or Halifax), and 10c scarlet used on 1867 env. RARE BISECTED FRANKING TO LONDON: 8 Apr. 1859 env. (minor wrinkles) to London franked with a strip of three 3d, the last one of which has been bisected diagonally to make up the 7½d rate, even margins all around, third stamp lightly tied by bar cancels and with London Paid cds on front and Halifax ds on rear.
