1900 RECOVERED FROM WRECK OF MEXICAN 1900 cover to Berlin (Apr 30 bkstp) with stamp washed away leaving partial cds, on reverse four-line h.s. "Aus dermit dem uniergegangenen Dampfer Mexican beforderter Post aus Capstadt Bahnpostamt No. 15," alongside Cape of Good Hope ½d and 1d which floated off other covers and reaffixed themselves here, plus another stamp face down or with color entirely gone, cover trimmed and affixed to cardboard, several tears, VG, the German h.s. is rare (Image)
