Collection/Accumulation of Used Switzerland, 1854-1945, with hundreds of stamps from an old time collection, on album pages and loose in glassines. The collection begins with a few used imperforate and perforated Helvetia with owner's Scott #s 23, 36-38, 41, 44, 45, 47, 52-56, 61, and continues with decent representation of issues up to 1946 including a used #301 1fr Pax (c.v. $95). The collection also includes Semi Postals with mostly used sets from 1924-1931, with sporadic sets thereafter up to 1945. The glassines contain roughly 200 used stamps (we note used stamps ranging from the late 1890s onward, with Semi-Postals, Airmails, and overprints). Online photos will give an overview of this accumulation. The lot is unpicked (could have some postmarks finds), and is on the market for the first time from the Armstrong find. Overall fine. Valuable Collection in Two Stockbooks, with issues up to 1990. The collection starts with 35 Standing or Seated Helvetias which are mainly used, then continues with mint NH as well as used stamps. Some NH issues include souvenir sheets: B116, B119, B130-32, B144-45, as well as C1-2. Used values have C2, C13a-15a, etc. The main strength of the collection is that most issues are present in both mint NH and used, with many highlights of this: 98-100, 200-03, 210-15, 238-41, 242 souvenir sheet, 256-67, 270-78, 352a souvenir sheet, 376-77, B1-24, B89 souvenir sheet, B178 souvenir sheet, B206 souvenir sheet, B297 souvenir sheet, C3-12, C27-34, C45 and many more. Collection in 2 Lighthouse Hingeless Albums and 1 Stockbook, the albums have issues ranging from 1907-1987, one has regular early issues with a mix of mint and used, plus a good amount of paper and gum varieties. Better used include #s 132-45, 138a-144a, 189, 200-03, 200a-03a, etc., while the mint NH issues feature 210-15, 219-25, 238-41, 247-55, 293-301, C27-34, etc. The collection is then quite complete NH from 1946-1987. The second album contains a complete NH run of semi-postal sets from 1924-1986. There is one earlier set: B4-6. There is also a stockbook with hundreds of used issues not included in our catalogue value below, as well as a nice coffee-table book on Swiss stamps (in French). Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

Some better used include #s 7-8, 12, Seated Helvetias (x20), Standing Helvetias (x18), 100 (x3), 185, 300-02, B91-94, B96-99, B106-09, B170-77, B191-95, B212-26, B232-41, etc. As well as the 3 stockbooks, there are 2 binders holding over 130 different first day covers. Collection of Mint and Used Switzerland, 1858-2003, housed in a Hawid stockbook consisting of a few hundred stamps (primarily used), including a small selection of Helvetia imperforates counted as Scott #s 36-40, with scattered material up to 2003, along with three pages of Semi-Postals. Better items include Scott #s: 226 souvenir sheet (never hinged, c.v. $350), B144 souvenir sheet (mint hinged, c.v. $55), B4-B6 (used, c.v. $126 total). We note a nice array of postmarks in the early issues, along with a few first day issues from the 1960's and five Juventute presentation booklets. Scans only show a small portion of the lot. We noted a few faults with the early stamps but the collection is overall fine to very fine. (Image)
