SPAIN - MELILLA AND SPANISH NORTHERN AFRICA ASSORTMENT. Melilla extensive (and scarce) local issues as sanctioned by the Spanish Government for 1893 and 1894 coat of arms both perf and imperf, through to the marine issues including specific ones for Gerona, Cuba, Mercedes, Temerario, Venadito, as well as further imperf inc blocks of 4 for specific military use in Wad-Ras, Alava and Luchana and many others, ending with the Fort issues for Caberizas-Altas, Rostrogordo, Caberizas-Baj, Camellos, San Lorenzo, etc., accompanying is interesting collateral depicting cartoon graphics of overcoming the indigenous peoples, again all 19th century, depicting the Spanish Colonial infantry and cavalry specifically for propaganda purposes. Very colorful and quite extraordinary.
