1908 illustrated advertising cover for Parkhouse & Brown (Apia) stockists of Chamberlain's medicines & St Patrick's Pills to Christchurch with German Samoa 20pf tied by superb 'APIA' cds, Auckland & Christchurch machine backstamps, opened-out (a bit roughly at right but clear of the stamp). Very scarce local advertising. [Chamberlain Medicine Co was a drug manufacturer based in Des Moines Iowa. At least some of its products were highly dubious: eg the 'Colic, Cholera & Diarrhoea Remedy' advertised on the envelope was found to contain opium]
