FOUR VOLUME MINT & USED COLLECTION, 1850-1999: Well presented basic collection with useful singles & sets throughout. Early issues mostly to 50c or 1p values, with 4p & 10p values mainly telegraph punched, but noting 1879 10p used SG 272 (£275) . Several 1920s/30s complete sets with much mint, also part sets e.g UPU, Catacombs, Red Cross Airs, etc. but missing Montserrat, Railway, Cervantes. Good range of Civil War issues and a high degree of completion from 1940s onwards, with all but the scarcest mint issues e.g. Stamp Cent., Canaries Visit, Sorolla, etc. present. Appears to be just 4 stamps not present, these being the Oct. 1950 Caudillos Canary Is. Visit 10c on 25p brown-purple Air issues (with/without control) and the 1953 Sorolla & Legazpi Air stamps. Otherwise, a superb collection. We note in particular the 12 Oct 1950 Stamp Centenary set of eight mint SG 1141/1148 (£675) and 23 Oct. 1950 Canary Island Visit Postage pair SG 1149B/1150B. 1850-68 QUEEN ISABELLA II COLLECTION: Binder housing the mainly used collection of issues on leaves. Useful, highly catalogued singles noted incl. 1850 12c SG 3 (£325), 1851 5r red SG 12 (£300) and 10r green (3) SG 14 (£550 each), 1853 5r green (2) SG 25 (£130), 1854 1r indigo SG 35 (£375), 5r green SG 37 (£110) and 6r blue SG 38 (£350). A few of the lower denominations present in different paper types and a good range of Officials. 1856 range includes 2 different Dies of the 4c value in mint blocks of 25. Later 1850s/60s ranges demonstrate a variety of numbered 'Cartwheel' cancels and incl. a close cut example of 1862 19c carmine/white SG72a (£190), also 1865 2r purple p.14 SG 91a (£275), etc. A useful selection.
