Palestine Mandate.3 JA 1923 registered AR (Avis Receipt) cover from JERUSALEM to PARIS franked 26m per period rate using 2x 13m London II (Ba79) tied by 2 strikes of REG JERUSALEM oval postmark + 1 on back; cover marked by rare ex-Turkish Post Office A.R. boxed handstamp (at 27x41mm height this unlisted by Sacher); backstamped 4 JA 23 KANTARA HAIFA SOUTH TPO transit using Dorf-19 postmark & 12-1-23 PARIS arrival; slit open at top, vertical fold. Palestine Mandate.Mandate Haifa postmarks: 2 JUNE 1926 registered commercial cover on Barclays Bank business stationary from CAIRO to HAIFA, franked 30pi and tied by full strike of Cairo RB15 postmark (and again in field); backstamped REGISTERED HAIFA using rare skeleton postmark with single dateline GD-56 (rated E), per Sach-D5 on 2nd day of use. Bank wax seal on back; slit open at top. Very fine. Est. value $250+
Palestine Mandate.Mandate Haifa postmarks: 15-03-1938 commercial cover from MECCA to HAIFA franked 2½ qirsh and tied by full strike of local MEQQUE postmark; backstamped 23 MR 38 DANTARA (no such locale - this is an error for "KANTARA") & PORT-TAUFIQ (plus another unclear) transits + next day NAZARETH STREET B.O. arrival using rare postmark GD-110/Sach-J33. Slit open at left; some surface pockmarks. Rare origin; well travelled; est. value $150-200+. Of note: significant quantities of oil in Saudi Arabia were only discovered in 1938, and the first commercial oil well opened 11 before this cover posted, on 4 March 1938.

Very fine, est. value $250+
