POSTAL HISTORY c.1795-1924: Album with the collection of covers and stamps from the Prussian (later German) Occupation period through to 1920s inflation. Good range of covers incl. c.1795-1863 stampless mail, much to/from Bromberg and several with paper or red wax official seals of 'Royal Prussian Regency' period (c.1836-48). Stamped mail incl. 1874 postcard from Stettin to Krotoschin bearing pair of ¼gr violet 'large eagle' types. Further examples of censor mail, Feldpost, covers and stamps from the WWI German Occupation of former Russian Occupied Poland and incl. Warsaw local post covers. Also several 1923/24 covers showing use of emergency surcharges during inflation period. Very fine throughout. (c.55 covers plus c.38 stamps) (Image)

POSTAL HISTORY 1833-1914: Album with the collection of covers and stamps from the period of Russian Occupation of Poland incl. fine range of stampless covers 1833-1860. We note a fair Jan. 1860 pre-stamped 10k env. ex Warsaw to Russia (scarce) and Jul. 1873 env. from Warsaw to Bordeaux with tricolour franking of Russian 'Arms' types to 28k. Very attractive.
