1666, complete folded letter cover from DORDRECHT, dated April 30th 1666, addressed to Filippo Cattaneo in Genova Italy. The cover has manuscript taxation on the frontside and a wax-seal on reverse. Early mail to a foreign destination. F/VF condition.
P.S.: It is possible, that the recipient Filippo Cattaneo is the person, who was portrayed as a young boy at the age of 4 in the year 1623 by the famous painter Anthony van Dyck. (Image)
