Mexico, 1884, Hidalgo Medallion, 2c green. On a 1885 receipt used as revenue stamp for a house rent, unique usage and canceled with cachet of the landlord in Merida, Very Fine, these receipts should bear a revenue stamp, this was an exception.

Mexico, 1884, Hidalgo Medallion, 2c green, three singles. Tied by purple 1885 Saltillo oval date stamps on cover to Wisconsin, endorsed "Via Laredo", with "Unclaimed" and advertised cds, reverse with receiving and DLO handstamp, Very Fine, the 6c rate to the U.S. was in place briefly before it went down to 5c, just a handful of covers exist with the 2c stamp, let alone paying this uncommon rate.
