Lower right portion of stamp tied by blue Guadalajara cds (Schatzkes 297) on folded letter sheet to Zacatecas, additionally tied by straight line Zacatecas handstamp (Schatzkes 1849); cover with left flap missing, otherwise Very Fine, the blue cancel was used only for a few weeks and it is rare, with 2021 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.

Enormous margins all around, tied by bold Puebla registered date stamp (Schatzkes 1164) with manuscript date on 1864 intact folded letter to San Miguel de Allende, with fancy circular monogram handstamps at corners (Schatzkes 1153A); minor cover flyspecking, Very Fine, only 272 stamps sent to the districts, with 2021 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.
Scott No. 12; Estimate $3,000 - 4,000.

Almost all registered mail is known in fronts as it was customary to cut the front and have the addressee sign on it as proof of delivery. This is an exceptional and rare full cover.
