Bulgaria. Bulgaria > Sophia: Jewish burial society "Chevra Kadisha" members metal and enamel pin in bronze(?), 1910, by Strakhil Miloshev of Sofia; size: 19 x 18.25mm; weight: 2.45g. Pentagon shaped pin: shovel & axe with Star of David; Bulgarian legend transliterated from Hebrew, "Chevra Kedusha(sic) Burials(?) Sofia 1910". Reverse: safety-pin + maker's mark. The Sophia branch of "Chevra Kadisha" existed prior to WW1, then re-established: referencing "Chevra Kedusha", pin probably from the original society (while other pins bearing the name "Tzedek veEmet" are probably from the re-established society from 1921).
