(2) and 1d. strip of four, sole usage incl. singles for printed matter rate on 1921 circular and 1930 “Militia Christi” newspaper, use in multiples for 1/2d. printed matter rate upward incl. 1/4d. pair on 1922 dealer’s pricelist to New York, 1/4d. strip of four paying 1oz. rate on 1916 censored cover to Alexandria, many scarcer destinations incl. Cape Colony, Fiji, Hungary, Iceland, Mauritius, Sweden, also “MALTA/1/4D/POSTAGE PAID” intaglio seal and later datestamp on newspaper wrappers (4) and unusually on local unsealed envelope with “THE MALTA TIMES” straight line, and 1/4d. Grand Harbour reproductions on cuff-links, tie-pin etc.
