1972 REGISTERED BANGLADESH WAR of INDEPENDENCE, pair of Bangladesh provisional stamps pays the 100p registered letter rate from independence leader Abdul Adhikary, mailed from Sitakunda-Chittagong on JAN19-1972 and addressed "URGENT" to Prime Minister Mujibur Rahman at Dhaka noting an arrival on JAN 21st, this is one month after the Bangladesh Independence victory over Pakistan where over 3,000,000 Bangladesh people were killed, this was also the period of rounding up War Criminals, cover is trimmed LHS, a rare and historic cover and F-VF est ($150+US) (Image)

35 US NAVY LETTERS 1920-1932, the detailed letters of a sailor's journey from FEB10,1920 on the USS ELLIS at Guantanamo-Cuba to Santiago-Cuba, then on the USS DAVIES to Charleston-SC, on the USS WYOMING back to Cuba in 1925 and onward via the Panama Canal to San Diego, on the USS PROCTON to Hawaii, assigned to the submarine USS BEAVER in 1931 with Asia duty at Manilla and Shanghai, then a stint at the Manila US Naval Hospital, then onwards to Guam and Pearl Harbor in 1933, all the letters are addressed to his wife and son including some drawings of his Navy Diver and Naval gun training, a great correspondence of 21 letters with the accompanying envelopes, retails over $500, F-VF est ($75+ US) (Image)
