Holyland. Color French map of "Palestine" (in French & Hebrew) c.1812, copper engraved by Jean Baptiste Marie Chamouin & drawn by Giraldon + 2 inlay maps of the "Kingdom of the Israelites under David & Solomon" and "The Twelve Tribes" of Israel by Malte-Brun, on thick milled paper; this may originate from the book "Atlas Complet du Précis de la Géographie Universelle", Paris, 1812 edition, however this edition is with hand colored outline and uncolored vignette; size: 34 x 25.1cm. Near-mint condition with little toning; small crease at point in left edge, otherwise almost flawless edges. The cartographer, Conrad Malte-Brun (1775-1826), born Malthe Conrad Bruun (also known as Malte-Brun), was a Danish-French geographer and journalist. His second son, Victor Adolphe Malte-Brun, was also a geographer. Rare as French map with Hebrew usage.

Color "Map of Palestine" by Gall & Inglis of Edinburgh (James Gall and Robert Inglis) with 3 maps, circa. 1860's, with main map in center depicting the areas of the 12 Tribes of Israel & 2x inset Biblical maps - one depicting "Countries of the East Depicted in Scripture" and another illustrating "Journeyings of the Israelites" (here marked in red ink); taped on back along center & horizontally folded in center; brittle edges; a few tears to the edge margins & tears/weakening along center fold, but suitable for framing. Size: 53.1 x 64 cm.

Holyland. Color "Map of Canaan of the Holy Land for General Purposes", drawn & engraved by R. Palmer, published by Baldwin & Cradock of London; size: 20.75 x 22.4cm. Probably originates from "The Bible Atlas" by Richard Palmer (1823). Map is reinforced from behind along horizonal fold line , though right side has become detached/split from the whole; some aging stains but suitable for framing.

Russia. Artistic renditions of the Jewish experience: "Chevrat Shas" (per Hebrew caption loosely translated as "Talmud Study Group") picture postcard with caption in Hebrew & abbreviated Russian (which refers to the place as "Beit HaMidrash"), of sketch by Y. Weinlein; published by Levanon, Moscow (written in Hebrew on front as "Chevrat Levanon") as issue #40 of the series. On reverse, trilingual postal stationary template in Russian, Polish and Hebrew + publisher's name & address in Russian and his logo. Used but not posted: message written in Hebrew, appears to reference the city of TOMSK. Light age stains in places, number written on top left corner of front.
