1936 cover (written-up on album page) sent from Teheran (probably) to England, damaged during the Imperial Airways liner accident in Mirabella Bay, Crete. The short S.17 Kent flying boat "Scipio" was a British four-engined 15-seat biplane luxury flying boat airliner which sank after a heavy landing at sea on Aug 22, 1936. Because of communications difficulties, the rescue ship was delayed. The airplane sank, with two passengers trapped in the wreckage, with boxed "Damaged by Immers. in Sea Water I.S." handstamp, also a card showing the "Scipio" (Image)
