1853 - Keta And Teshi to Bremen (Germany) - Outer letter sheet from a correspondence, addressed care of ´Charles Young in Islington, London´ for transmission to the North German Missionary Soc. in Bremen. Reverse with ‘Plymouth / Packet Letter’ datestamp (Sept 9) in red (Robertson P2) and London arrival cds of the following day and charge of ´2s.´ paid for a 1 ounce letter. Struck with fine Islington S.O. (Sorting Office) handstamp in black and thence endorsed ´via Ostend´ to Bremen. Charged ´7´ (pence) when forwarded and charged ´32´(grote) on arrival. 1884 - Addah to Stettin (Germany) - 1½d. brown stationery card (Plate 1) (27 August), cancelled by ´Addah Seal´ handstamp in black. Addah cds at left and Accra, Code C, transit (Sept 13) cds. Stettin arrival at left (Oct 15). Rare late usage of the Addah Seal handstamp and one of only three known usages of the Seal handstamp on postal card. (Image)
