PRE-STAMP MAIL TO ENGLAND/USA; Trio with Feb. 1792 v.extensive EL (no markings; hand-carried) to Surrey datelined at Gibraltar describing tour and inspection of Naples ....being an English Officer is a sufficient introduction....the Government...is of course despotic the King generally keeps up near thirty thousand men....they are at war with the Algerines but seldom take a prize, Jan. 1807 EL to London datelined Ajax Gibraltar rated '4/4'(d) and with a London Foreign arrival cds on rear We expect to get under way any minute for Malta as the Royal George is come in under whose command we proceed together with the Repulse and July 1816 EL, endorsed 'Albion' at lower left (datelined Gibraltar and ended Tangier; no markings; hand-carried) to Connecticut tomorrow we shall proceed to Naples to land the Envoy etc. I do not think either of our national vessels will return home very soon as report says the Dey of Algiers is dissatisfied with the peace.
