Comprehensive Winston Churchill Topical Collection, consisting of 57 albums with slipcases, each containing 25-30 like new double-sided Vario-style black stock pages. This extensive collection consists of single stamps, sets, covers, first day covers (including some numismatic FDC's), picture postcards, souvenir sheets and sheetlets, blocks and multiples, imperforate blocks and sheets, trial color proofs and essays, first day of issue cards, along with fantasy stamps, strike and local posts. We note a complete set of the 1966 Churchill Memorial Omnibus issues both mint and used including some errors (inverted watermarks, double prints, etc.), along with first day covers including a variety of cachets, Stalin propaganda cover (owner paid $250), The collection also includes two sheet albums containing full sheets of Churchill material, along with coffee table books (biography of Winston Churchill and the Treasures of Winston Churchill). The lot also includes a very useful Churchill catalogue of stamps of the world (listing all of the stamps in this collection), along with some photographs and ephemera. The lot includes the owner's inventory, listing just some of the better items found in the collection (scanned online). We highly recommend in-person viewing of this extensive collection to better appreciate the contents. We have 49 photos on our website for those who cannot make it in to view. Also includes a small binder with more than 25 black stock sheets (double-sided, full) containing hundreds of stamps on other topical subjects including Star Trek, the Queen Mother, insects and animals, outhouses, the Grateful Dead / Jerry Garcia and actors. Mint Never Hinged Collection in Honour of Lady Diana, from her wedding in 1981 to her death in 1997 with stamps and souvenir sheets from British Commonwealth (half of these are mounted in a specially designed album, the rest included in the box) and other countries. Includes part sheets of 10 gutter pairs of all stamps listed as the Scott 1981 Common Design, (plus a single pair, also with gutter) of each (total c.v. $1,336) plus about 75 souvenir sheets, 21 booklets and issues from non-Commonwealth countries. A set of 32 1997 souvenir sheets for her death in 1997 is also included ( c.v. $169), as are a few items related to her 1985 visit to the Caribbean. A must have for all Diana fans. Very fine. Huge Mint and Used Worldwide Music Topical Collection, in 9 Thick Binders with Slipcase, consisting of about 4,500 stamps including many complete sets, a few hundred souvenir sheets, some first day covers, booklets, imperfs, foil stamps, and back of the book (semi-postals and airmails), from the late 1930s to the early 2000s. The majority are mint hinged (also noted some never hinged) all neatly displayed on over 1,000 quadrille pages including some narration with no duplication. Amongst the countries represented we noted Austria, Belgium, Bhutan, China, Canada, Czechoslovakia, France and French colonies, Germany, Hungary, Japan , Korea, Russia, Sweden, U.S., and many more. Collection is as received, and a cursory check revealed many items in the $2 to $5 range, with some much higher, such as a PRC set cataloguing $175, etc. The online photos provide only a small glimpse of this impressive collection, viewing is strongly recommended to better appreciate the contents. Two albums are devoted to the issues from 54 different British Commonwealth countries with souvenir sheets or sheetlets, gutter pairs and 21 booklets. Note the extensive issues from Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat and St Vincent. The fourth album holds issues from 9 non-Commonwealth countries. 1977 Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee Mint Never Hinged Collection, in three albums and a box. One specially designed album hold issues from 68 different countries including Scott unlisted Comoros gold foil and Togo silver foil issues. A second album hold 28 FDCs and 8 booklets of these issues. A third album holds 60th birthday issues, 21 countries with the common design and a further 31 countries; note the extensive Tuvalu issues. Also in this binder are issues from 10 countries for the 80th birthday and issues from 11 countries commemorating the Royal Visit to the Caribbean. Then a small box holds duplicates of a large part of the Silver Jubilee and Royal Visit to the Caribbean including 11 long sets from St Vincent and others, 15 common design sheetlets, 20 booklets, about 30 large stock cards with about 200 sets and souvenir sheets, and much more. Among numerous interesting items, we noted Berlin Scott 9N35-41 lightly hinged (c.v. $187), San Marino #304 sheets of 6 (slightly yellowed, c.v. $200) and 5 sets of Poland 457-9, each set with a different “Grosny” local overprint, and more.
