1876-77 Script 'VR' Underprints 1d deep blue imperforate plate proof on Laid Paper upper-left corner block of 4 with Pronounced Double Print, the second impression misplaced 1mm to the right & ½mm down, the third unit with the Major Void Corner as SG 31b, large-part o.g. the lower pair being unmounted. Superb! An exceptional positional block, and the equal largest recorded unused multiple of the 5/-. Ex Gerald Patterson: sold for $1340. [David Alford at page 82 records only two mint blocks of 8: it is unclear if this block is one of them]
