Numbered "No. 5", receiver's notes record dates of writing, arrival "Somosomo June 28 1841" and reply "Somosomo June 29 1842". Richard Burdsall Lyth (1810-1887) had received medical training at the University of London before following his calling as a Wesleyan missionary in Tonga and Fiji accompanied by his wife Mary Ann (1811-1890).
