2006-10 'Emergency' surch 3c/23c Bird comp sheet of 100 with variety '3 omitted' (pos 2/7). When this error was sighted soon after issue, postal staff frantically CUT OUT the offending stamp. Less than 10 of these errors have survived as PO removed the error pr before issue to the public. A rare printer's mistake. (P)
