1901/03 "Melikt" Overprint on -+g Postal Card, Inverted overprint, precancelled in Harar by a 29-3-04 cds and addressed to Switzerland, datelined "Djibouti 23/6/04" where card was sold, small discoloration spot in address, Very Fine; one of two known cards (both used) with inverted overprint. rnThe other card with inverted overprint was sold as part of the Eric Payne collection (Harmers London, Dec 1995, lot 45). It was also precancelled in Harar and sold in Djibouti but had the appropriate transit and arrival postmarks. This card, however, must have travelled in an envelope or privately as there is no Djibouti franking or transit/ arrival markings. (Image)
