1920, Registered Airmail letter to Finland franked 10p green, imperf (SG 7), 15p rose-red (SG 8, horizontal pair), 70p dull lilac (SG 10, horizontal strip of three) all of 1919-20 definitives and 5m black, blue and yellow (SG 15) First Estonian Airmail Stamp, tied by three strikes of “TALLINN, EESTI, 12.3.20”, an additional strike and provisional boxed “R” alongside, at back “HELSINGFORS, HELSINIKI” and TAMPERE arrivals (16.III.20). N.B. First Estonian Airmail Stamp was issued for prepayment of the Air fee required for mail carried on the EMERGENCY FLIGHT to Helsinki. The official issue date was 13th March 1920 although stamps were used on the flights of 11th and 12th March. Fine and scarce. (Image)
