1906 Danish Postal Card used in St. Thomas, rare and unusual uprated 5 øre Danish postal card and five 1 øre stamps of Denmark used at St. Thomas, Danish West Indies, a remarkable usage as Danish stamps used in DWI are not recorded. Sent by a soldier at the "St. Thomas Caserne (Garrison Barracks)" to Hjørring, Denmark at the 10 øre rate. Card has been trimmed on three sides, but stamps and postmarks are all intact and not damaged. Unusual backstamp of St. Thomas of 24 Oct 1906, but stamps are postmarked on 30 Oct 1906. Truly an Exhibition item for specialist. (Image)
