Ragama. 1901-02 Covers and cards from (4) or to (2) Ragama Camp including a 6c stationery envelope from a German volunteer in the Boer forces sent to Singapore with superb "THE CAMP" c.d.s, picture postcards franked 3c to France both with "T" handstamps (2, one bearing France 10c postage due), etc., one registered cover with stamps removed, otherwise fine. Welikada Prison. c.1901 2c Postcard with a small Photo of President Steyn on the reverse, endorsed from Welikada and posted to another prisoner in Ragama Camp; and 1901 covers to T.J Curran in Welikada, one sent from Natal to Diyatalawa and redirected, the other a stampless cover from a P.O.W in Diyatalawa with c.d.s and "T" handstamp, all with Diyatalawa or Ragama censor cachets. Curran was sent to Welikada after escape attempts from both Diyatalawa and Ragama camps. A scarce group. (3). Photo on Page 90. (Image1)
