Antarctica: Swedish Expedition 1901-04: 1903 (Nov. 21) incoming picture postcard addressed to chemist Gösta Bodman on the “Antarctic”, sent from Löberöd, Sweden by his sister Kerstin, c/o the Norwegian & Swedish Consulate in Buenos Aires arriving Dec. 21, redirected to Upsala c/o Dr. O. Nordenskjöld (Jan. 18 1904) and further to Stockholm (Jan. 19). Also La Nación picture postcard, used, depicting the base at Snow Hill (Wharton CC-1). Anders Gustaf ‘Gösta’ Bodman (1875-1960), expedition meteorologist and hydrographer, is commemorated by Bodman Point on the northwest coast of Seymour Island. Photo. (Image1)
