1918 (15 Aug) Prisoner of War stationery card from a German POW in Pervaya Retchka to New York, censored first by "Eastern Czech Detachment/Control Office" (in Cyrillic), Russian "For Prisoners of War, through the Royal Danish Vice-Consulate in Vladivostok" and finally on back with "Passed British Military Control Vladivostok E W" struck in oval. A remarkable combination of markings on POW correspondence (before the arrival of Allied forces, the Czech Legion administered the POW camps.
