Mandate Haifa postmarks: late Mandate 18 AP 1948 local registered cover franked 25m per period rate (10m letter + 15m registration fee) using Pictorals Ba97/108 tied by 2 full strikes of damaged AHUZAT SAMUEL postmark GD-117 (and 2 on back); backstamped 20 AP 48 using unusual REGISTERED HAIFA oval postmark with thick letters close to edge (unlisted GD & Sacher; identical to Proud R17 whose last known date of use is 7-08-1945) & same day arrival using MOUNT CARMEL GD-106 - the day before Jewish operation to liberate the city.
