AN EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE FIRST DAY COVER BEARING THE 1893 2¢ COLUMBIAN ISSUE.

The official first day for the Columbian issue was January 1st, 1893. Since it fell on a Sunday when most post offices where closed, January 2nd is also accepted as the First Day of Issue.
