1879 Provisionals 10pa. on 2½pi. violet, Perf 12½ x 13½, with "INVERTED SURCHARGE", postally used and cancelled by part "POSTE EGIZIANE.../AGO 79" cds, fine. This remarkable stamp came from a full sheet with inverted surcharge (and is NOT the inverted stamp occurs in every sheet), and with its compound perforation gauge, it is an example of THE SCARCEST OF ALL OF THE 1879 INVERTED SURCHARGE ERRORS.
