ITALIAN POST OFFICES IN EGYPT: 1863, Italy 15c blue of type I (Sassone N.12) horizontal pair bearing an absolutely perfect strike of the exceedingly rare PIROSCAFI POSTALI INGLESI framed postmark in blue. This postmark has been used only at the Italian Post Office in Alexandria. Perfect condition and a true exhibition showpiece. Most likely the best example of this rare postmark on the 15c lithographed of 1863. Signed Alberto Diena and 2014 Giacomo Bottacchi photo certificate.
