Thailand, 1942, Extraordinary group of 10 American usage, Thai-Burma Railroad P.O.W. covers, a superb and rare assembledge of 10 items, 6 from Pvt. George A. Falk, 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery, who was diverted from Australia to Java and ended up surviving the construction of the infamous "Death Railroad"; his usages include Burma P.O.W. postcards type I-111 complete, plus a Thai type 2 card used from the Tamarkin Bridge Camp, a rare Malaya type I postcard used in 1942, triple censored, written from Changi Jail, Singapore, in October 1942, and arrives in Milan, Michigan over a year later; also included is one incoming usage; we also note 3 outgoing cards from Seaman First Class, Jack G. Netter, who survived the sinking of the U.S.S. Houston on 1 March 1942, with postcard usages from Moulmein Camp, Burma, Nike camp #3, Thailand & from the Tamarkan Bridge Camp, Thailand; the final items from the amazing holding is from Lawrence F. Battles, U.S.M.C. from Camp 3, Thailand to Arkansas; an amazing and equally as fascinating mounted, annotated collection, Very Fine, inspection invited.

Thailand, 1942-45, The remarkable, incoming P.O.W. correspondence to Driver H. Douglas Harris from Australia, a remarkable & very extensive, well-annotated mounted collection of 24 incoming items to Dr. H.D. Harris; Harris was an overage volunteer of the Reserve Motor Transport Company, and one of the first to see action, surrendering after a series of events in October 1942; the collection includes an incredible array of different types, P.O.W. lettersheets, wonderful censor marks, chronicling his movements to different camps, right on up to his return to Australia on the S.S. Moretan Bay after October 1945; simply an amazing study and holding, Fine to Very Fine, inspection invited.

Thailand, 1942-45, Incoming British Mail to P.O.W. J.P. Howard in Thai-Burma Railroad P.O.W. Camps, fascinating, superbly annotated mounted collection of 13 censored, incoming P.O.W. covers to British Sgt. Howard, who was captured following the fall of Singapore; covers sent to the Japanese Red Cross at Tokyo, with Sgt. Howard housed in Camp 2 with 8 covers going there, and the remaining 4 "Return to Sender" examples sent on Forces Letter 1½p King George VI entires used for ex-P.O.W. mail, as Sgt. Howard was in transit back to England, Very Fine, a fantastic group and a specialist's delight.
