Germany, Empire Eagle in Shield Issue Collection on a Scott Specialty page, 1872-74 (Scott 1//28), from serious old-time condition-conscious used collector, sound and fault-free, carefully selected choice items which display the range of different hamdstamps from the period, many with circular date stamps, including: #1 with Hamburg "16/11/72" cds, #3a with Berlin "31/8/72" cds, #4 with Frankfurt "18/3/72" cds, and many other beautiful cds, coxed cancels, Bahnhof and other attratctive cancels (no premiums added for cancels); a few items with small or tiny flaws are NOT counted in total even though they are appealing, such as: #1 signed Sohmer (shorter perfs on R) with Helssingberg in antique letters double circle "31/VIII/73" handstamp, #5 (one short perf) with Bremen Bahnhof "19/8/72" cds, #19 (slight UR corner flaw) with part boxed cancel and #22 (Michel #24, €3,200) (slight paper blemish) with boxed cancel, Very Fine.

Germany, Early Zeppelin Postcards, 1900-1925, 25 extraordinary color cards from the dawn of airship travel; several special cards issued in 1909 for the ILA aviation conference including two postally used; a pair of mint postcards with dramatic scenes to support the Zeppelin-Eckener Fund after WWI; pair from the 1908 Stollwerck Company benefit for the Zeppelin company following the Echterdingen disaster; bombing the dockyards of London postally used at Neheim Mar 1919; "We Must Win!" artistic card with Feldpost usage in 1915; LZ-3 over the Bodensee sent from Friedrichshafen; a few cartoon cards (including postally used); a fine Tuck postcard mailed Mar 1911 from Hannover showing the "German Zeppelin at Night"; fine embossed multicolored card for the 1909 ILA event; a pair of Germany Navy issue cards (one used); "Sachsen" over the War Memorial at Leipzig 1913; a Gustav Eyb card - painting of an early Zeppelin over the Bodensee; dramatic image of L-3 attacking Great Yarmouth at night; L-3 first visit over Sofia; striking colorized image of airship over Konstanz (mailed from there); painting by Hans Schulze of airship bombing Warsaw; these cards are stunning, Fine to Very Fine.

Germany, Zeppelin South American Overprints, 1930 (Scott C38-C39), 4 better examples showing the 2M or 4M German Zeppelin stamps on cover; Sieger 88AAa from Ostsee 1930 flight posted in Friedrichshafen with Scott C38 and flown to Berlin where it was further dispatched to the United States; Sieger 57C with proper red cachet of flight and 4M with South America overprint (C39) from Friedrichshafen to Pernambuco; a second Sieger 57C on a fanciful special privately cacheted envelope with 4M stamp; and a Sieger 57I from Germany to Seville in care of the American Counsul using the beautiful 2M (C38) stamp; catalog value of the uncommon overprints alone is $1200, Fine to Very Fine. Germany, Hindenburg Flight Collection, 1936, 13 envelopes carried on LZ-129; Sieger 410B Second North American Flight of 1936 with 8 colorful stamps; pair of registered covers with silver tinted cachets on May flight to America as well as one where the stamps are cancelled with an On Board mark; Sieger 406 registered envelope from Rotterdam to New York; interesting cover with 1M C39 and another airmail stamp with railway postmarks; registered envelope from Friedrichshafen to Lakehurst postmarked Stuttgart; Sieger 365B envelope flown during the 1936 Leipzig Fair; Sieger 426 on return of 3rd South American Flight of 1936 with 6 colorful stamps; Sieger 448 from Brazil to Germany in late Nov 1936; lastly three envelopes (Sieger 415, 428A and 441) where the frankings are ties with On Board cancels; a wonderful grouping, Fine to Very Fine.
