Official "Postage Stamps of the People's Republic of China" book, 1949-59, cloth-bound 1959 edition compiled by The China Philatelic Company and printed in Peking by the Foreign Languages Press; presents a short history of Chinese philately followed by detailed listings for each issue through March 1959 with spaces for the stamps (regular issues and commemoratives, Airmails, Postage Dues), many of which are present either mint or used; includes Scott #344a mint; blank pages at end "for new issues" are filled with Liberated Areas issues from North East, East and Central China; many of the stamp hinges are coming loose, but the book itself is on the whole solid and still quite usable, Very Fine.

East China, 1945-49, Shantung Wartime Post Chu Teh with overprints, selection (Yang EC70 [3], EC71 [2], EC74), comprising three examples of Yang #EC70, the $10 on 10¢ emerald green; two examples of #EC71, the $1 on 5¢ blue, plus a single example of #EC74, the $20 on 50¢ brown; each huge-margined, clearly printed and crisply overprinted, with good color and clean paper, without gum as issued, Very Fine.
